Hello, I'm 3mvee, my stage name for Marco Voorhout
My Younger years
I grew up in the village of Santpoort Noord and spent my secondary school days at the Flevumschool in IJmuiden. my fascination for music started early in my life.As a child I loved to play the piano. probably 1 of toys, but still, my grandpa saw that and had my fingers for it too, later my father got influence, because he often played guitar, and also a little keyboard. that influenced me too.what has also influenced me is the music of my musical heroes Jean Michel jarre,
and 80s music until now. |
When I turned 35 I gave my very first performance in the Buurthuis de Dwarsligger where I played to celebrate my 35th birthday, and where I played together with 3 other DJs as a DJ for people with intellectual disabilities. I had also been part of the group of DJs at the community center at the North Sea beach pavilion, where we also did a radio interview with the local radio station seaport FM for promotion, and with a guest DJ at Beach house Beach Inn, on the beach in the city of IJmuiden, but that had to stop after 9 years due to lack of enthusiasm. That gave me the idea that I wanted to do something with DJing, I was very proud of that.
During my childhood I often listened to music on the radio, recording Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, pop music, 80s music and then until now. At primary school I received music lessons in the form of recorders. later even had keyboard lessons with Herman Smit from Hillegom, in a caravan in Haarlem. and later again at someone's home in Haarlem, partly because of that I learned to play a piece of music and read notes. my passion for music continued to grow over the years
in my early days as a dj, i was in a totally different genre, that of club music, that was around 2004. then i made my first curated clubbing mix compilation ´´nothern spirit, the spirit within`` , in 2011 I have produced my mixes under the name The 6th Dimensions of trance which I put on facebook. I have many mix compilations to my name over the years.
I also made a mix compilation as an ode to my Dutch DJ heroes, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Sander van Doorn, Marco V, Chuckie and Ferry Corsten. Part 2 of my 6th dimensions of trance came out the same year.
In the same year I also participated in a DJ contest in club Bobby's in Uitgeest on December 3, 2011, where I became 3rd out of 10 participants under the name DJ Emvee. very proud to be
|
I also set up my own Reactive Sound & Productions, just like reactive DJ events where I can be booked.
In 2012 I came up with a Tomorrow never comes mix compilation in which I also incorporated my emotion, and since then music has been emotion in my life. Then worked hard on part 3 of the 6th dimensions of trance.
After that time I also started looking at what I could do more, slightly different music styles and ended up in electro house, and released Oldschool in an Electroworld with famous artists in electro performances. In 2010 and 2013, after a holiday trip to Ibiza, I came up with the idea to make a mix compilation under the name Vibrant Ibiza around the party island of Ibiza, which was personally quite a highlight, in which I try to reflect the Ibiza feeling. All shortly after the holidays disaster struck, my father died in 2013 after an illness of six months due to a rare disease, during that period I was looking for more peace.
In 2016 a big dream came true, following an action on facebook I signed up to play as an extra in the Videoclip of Armin van Buuren feat. Kensington for the song Heading up high. which took place in the dome prison of Breda. what an exciting day that was, I got to meet my idol Armin van Buuren and the video clip was released worldwide. culminating in the experience and visit of In State Of Trance festival 650 in 2016 in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.
the video clip and photos can also be seen on this site
In 2019 I made another holiday trip to Ibiza and that was completely unforgettable and gave me a lot of inspiration. but then a year later Covid came into play on our planet. I felt the world turned upside down and stood still. During that period, I came up with the idea to make something in lockdown time that would reflect the lockdown period. a mix compilation with the feeling of sadness, comfort and possibly new moves, of hope in the mix compilations Emotion, the lockdown albums. I definitely got responses.
Right now I'm working on a new show of mix compilations called ITAM, or In Trance As Mission. a mission that I want to make more successful and hopefully more people will listen to it via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Mixcloud. I also made a 3 track mix compilation in a new personal style, in the 122 BPM tempo, under the name Relax. Right now I'm focusing on Progressive House styles, as inspiration for one of my favorite DJs John 00 Fleming, Trance and Progressive Trance in 138 BPM style
Whatever I want to be involved in I haven't officially released yet, and that's my previous work from the time I played at the community center, with club hits from the past few years that I've ever put together, in short, I have concerns that there will be fun projects
I have been living with Linda Voorhout - Roosloot for 15 years in April and 16 years in a relationship in October, and she is the mother of 2 beautiful daughters from another marriage.
i have listeners here from China, Canada, the Phillipines, Belgium, Sweden, United States of Amerika, Austria, South Africa, Japan, Germany, Egypt, United Kingdom
I put most of my energy into, and want to share that energy with the rest of the world. but music is also emotion, my motto is not for nothing, music is emotion, and I incorporate that emotion in my music. If you feel that emotion, you feel the pure essence of music
